Mollified.
Just checking in quickly to say: I'm not upset with my dad anymore. I called my parents last night, and my poor mother listened to me rant and rave about what my dad said... and then I talked to said dad, and things have been smoothed over.
That's all for now - I just felt bad leaving a mean post at the top of the heap.

I just got caught up. I can totally relate. My dad and I are on a complete different wavelength when it comes to politics and social issues-especially women's issues. I love my dad and I've just had to learn to let it go because he comes from a different time and way of thinking. I can't change people's opinions, I can only try to be open about my own way of thinking and other ideas. It always hurts to hear someone who loves you say things like that, so don't feel bad about getting upset over it. I hope you're having a good week.
